2020-2021 Reopening Details

Here are the key points approved by the SAA Board:

  • SAA will begin school on August 18 for all students, whether in person or through distance learning.
  • Families will have two choices for their student's education. Choice 1: Attend school in person Choice 2: Distance Learning
  • August 18-21 will be "Early Out" days as approved on the original 2020-2021 school calendar.
  • August 18-21 for Kindergarten students is for assessments. Kindergarten students attend by invitation only.
  • August 24-27 (M-Th) will be additional "Early Out" days for all K-9 students. This gives us additional time to train all employees on COVID-19 safety protocols. We will update the 2020-2021 school calendar on the website.
  • School schedules for each campus are found on the SAA website under "Select a School" then "For Parents" then "Bell Schedules." These schedules will be updated by August 17.
  • August 28 (Friday) will be "Distance Learning" day for ALL students, which coincides with a portion of Davis District's newly revised plan.
  • August 31 (Monday) and going forward, Monday-Thursday will be regular days, whether in person or distance learning.
  • Every Friday will be "Distance Learning" for all students. Fridays will be a combined A/B day for the Jr. High.
  • The "Distance Learning Application"deadline is extended to August 6 at 3 pm for parents who wish to make that choice and missed the previous deadline of July 27. The application is below.
  • Details of the "Distance Learning" Friday opportunities or procedures will come from each building administration and/or teachers.
  • If conditions change, these plans may be modified to meet USBE or Davis County Health Department recommendations or mandates.
  • Below is a "COVID-19 School Manual" which includes guidelines we will follow if COVID-19 cases are discovered at our school.
