What is the Disney Education Trip?

Every two years Syracuse Arts Academy Junior High School invites 8th and 9th grade students to attend an educational trip to see the professional arts in action. In January 2022, 121 students and 49 staff members and chaperones journeyed to Florida and spent 4 days in Orlando visiting Disney World.  While enjoying the theme parks, students attended performances featuring singers, dancers, and artists of all types.   Each student participated in a workshop in the areas of music, dance, or science with some opting for a second workshop in art.  These workshops were given by professionals in those fields and were geared to give students the professional arts experience.  Planning for the 2024 educational trip will begin in January of 2023 and is open to students who would be in 8th or 9th grade during the 2023-2024 school year and are enrolled at SAA on April 1, 2023.
