We want to take a moment to thank you for your enthusiasm and support as we prepare for the opening of Syracuse Arts Academy – South Campus! We are excited to share that everything is progressing smoothly, and we are ahead of schedule to welcome students on time.

Our team has been working diligently to ensure that everything is ready for a successful and exciting first year. From finalizing the campus to hiring incredible staff, every step of the process is moving forward as planned.

We are also excited to announce that we hope to offer school tours in early August so families can see the new facility before the first day of school. More details will be shared as we get closer to that time!

A Message from Michele Parry,
South Campus Principal

I am happy to introduce myself as the principal of the new Syracuse Arts South Campus Elementary. My name is Michele Parry, and I love being an educator. I have a strong passion for academic excellence, personal growth, innovation, and creating a safe, inclusive school environment. It is an honor to join the dedicated staff and community that make this school such an outstanding place for students to learn and thrive.

My background includes a bachelor’s degree in English/Communications Teaching, a master’s degree in Measurement and Evaluation, and professional endorsements in reading, speech, communications, and school administration. Throughout my career, I’ve had the joy and privilege of working in various educational roles from elementary to high school as either a teacher or administrator. I enjoyed opportunities to work in special education classrooms, in summer camps with gifted and talented students, and on literacy and testing committees at the State Office of Education. Most recently, I worked as a university supervisor evaluating and advising college students during their student teaching semester. Each of these experiences has provided me with valuable insights into the diverse needs of students, parents, and educators at every level.

There are many unique things that drew me to Syracuse Arts. I am impressed with the clear academic focus and challenging curriculum. The integration of arts in content areas allows for critical thinking and creative learning. Smaller class sizes and innovative technology give students more personalized learning, increased engagement, and rich opportunities to learn and achieve at high levels. These are just a few of the many advantages offered to Syracuse Arts students.

My goal is to build upon and continue the existing culture of excellence and achievement and to work collaboratively with exceptional staff to provide an enriching educational experience for all students.

I am truly excited to embark on this journey with all of you and look forward to getting to know each and every one of our students and families. Please feel free to reach out to me at miparry@saacharter.org if you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to introduce yourself.

I hope to meet you soon!

Michele Parry
